Is it hard to do the rebirth quest? Which is more advisable? Buy a rebirth card or do the rebirth quest?

I know rebirth cards cost A WHOLE LOTTA MONEY and the REbirth Quest requires A WHOLE LOTTA FREAKIN' TIME, but which is more worth it?
