Its different. The difference between cata n forging fruit is that the cata can be purchased through the item mall wheares the forging fruit can only be obtained through story quest alone.

You can use it interchangeably or use it together.
Its best if u use both since they STACK.

Not too sure but i tink cata has a higher % in ensuring a successful forge.

As Moooo said since they can STACK, and forging fruit are not easy to be obtained.

Just like Heaven's berry doubles our experience and it's just 100,000g each, but Party EXP Fruit only 1.5x but much more expensive than Heaven's Berry, why ?

Because they can STACK to adds more experience rate. =x

If i'm not mistaken, forging & composition catalyst can both be bought at item mall (in stacks of 5, but only in a different name).

Refining Catalyst = increases forging rate for 1 minute
Composition Catalyst = increases gem composition rate for 1 minute

As for the pricing, forging catalyst should be more expensive because you can only forge about 1-2 items in a span of 1 minute before the effect wears out (since forging takes some time to finish)... as for gem combining, it takes less than a few second to combine gems... hence can combine more gems in 1 minute.

I'll try to take some screenshots of the fruits (from story quest & item mall) as soon as PKO is up.

i think the name is put wrongly..composition cata should be the brown 1 n ref cata should be the red 1..
