well, 'min' in third sound syllable (the sound of the symbol wiv the 'v' in chinese phonetics.^^)
in mandarin, its 'mian' with the forth syllable (the sound with the symbol ' \ ' in chinese phonectics)
in hokkien, its 'mi' with the third syllable sound (the sound with the symbol 'v' in chinese phonetics)
